Dermal Fillers

Dr. Afshar uses dermal fillers such as Restylane® to help reverse the tissue volume loss that occurs with aging. Restoring the lost volume can provide a more youthful appearance.

The Procedure

To better understand your overall health, we will evaluate your medical history prior to surgery. In addition, a complete examination is made in order to make the most effective surgical plan. All issues such as expected improvement and the risks of treatment will be discussed. Local anesthesia is usually used for this procedure.

Dr. Afshar will provide you with preoperative instructions that may include the elimination of specific drugs containing aspirin before surgery to minimize excess bleeding.
